The location is prime, being close to shops and public transport. Breakfast was delightful, particularly the delicious marmalade, setting a pleasant tone for the day. parking can be challenging, especially in inclement weather, and the lack of a bin in the room was inconvenient. the rigid breakfast hours and limited food options could use some improvement.

Great location and comfy bed!
Had a solid stay! The location's sweet—quiet yet a short walk to the Windermere center. The bed was super comfy, and I liked the breakfast, especially the eggs and mushrooms. Just wish there was a bit more choice for breakfast. Oh, and parking can be tricky if you’re not quick enough.

If you're a foodie like me, you’ll love Hooked, a fresh seafood joint just a hop away. Bowness boasts a fabulous mix of eateries, but nothing beats the zing of a pizza from Popeye's Pizzeria & Grill after a day's hike! The room was comfy and the breakfast was spot-on, kicking off each adventure just right.

great location but a bit cramped

Quaint room with all essentials covered, featuring a powerful electric shower that really hits the spot after a day out. Great proximity to the high street offers easy access to shops and restaurants, making evenings effortless.
Parking can be a hassle, with only limited on-street options available, often requiring a bit of a trek to find a spot. The en suite is quite cramped, potentially awkward for those who might prefer a bit more space. I had a small TV way up on the wardrobe. might need a ladder to watch it comfortably. Basic breakfast choices seem a bit outdated, lacking the flair you’d expect in a scenic area like this. Would appreciate a more versatile breakfast menu and perhaps a bit of flexibility on check-out times, as the strict 10:00 AM exit felt rushed after a leisurely breakfast.

I had a lovely time at Westbury House. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Windermere village with plenty of shops and restaurants. Jo, the host, made me feel welcome and was really helpful with tips on local walks. My room was small but cozy and clean, ideal for a solo traveler. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection including a full English and some nice cereals. The tea was surprisingly standard, though. On the downside, the parking situation wasn't great. Street parking is available, but it's hit or miss whether you'll find a spot. I was lucky, but I could see it becoming troublesome during peak season. The en-suite was tiny, which made getting ready a bit tricky. a few more storage options in the room would be nice for someone with luggage.
